I am finding it hard to watch stores close due to the economy. It's very upsetting.
So far in my area a pizza place, and a laundromat closed, and another laundromat is holding on by a thread. Also many larger stores are combing stores, to save money. We lost West Marine, a boating store, in this situation. Stores are abandoned, and it looks so sad. These small business people have lost their investments.
People are struggling to pay rents and mortgages, utilities, and other bills. What are we supposed to do? There are no jobs, and people are starting to loose their of unemployment benefits.
Some of my business friends are struggling too, they can't even take pay checks.
This is a sign that the economy is taking another dip.
It's scary, we are all living on a shoe string, our incomes are not going up, but food, utilities, insurance, housing bills are all going up. How can we do this?
I have a close friend that could soon be homeless!
My husband and I talk about ways to downsize,
ike sell our home, but who can afford to buy it?
or
rent out a small area in our home as a studio apartment, but we can't afford to do the plumbing
to put in a small bathroom and kitchenette.
We can't go down to one car because we work in 2 different directions and he work 30 minutes away.
We can't move in with my parents because they live in a different state 4 hours away. And my husbands parents have pasted.
We are now living pay check to pay check. and we are living on the fringe of loosing it all!
What are your thoughts?
Please feel free to share!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
